Overview:
For the economies of Central and Eastern Europe, the current economic downturn threatens to derail the significant progress of the last few years. The impact of the financial crisis has restricted the ability of many potential acquirers to do deals. The global nature of the crisis has forced Western European cross-border acquirers to re-focus on their domestic markets.
The region remains a buyer's market. Companies with cash have the advantage. Market pressures, especially on banking and financial services companies, continue to build. Cross-border deal challenges are easing as the European regulatory environment evolves, but the economic headwinds remain volatile and strong. Where in Europe are the best opportunities to be had? The East or West? Which sectors offer the most compelling deals and why? How can valuations be determined in markets that have yet to stabilize? With the scarcity of credit remaining a principal challenge, what are some of the creative deal structures that have arisen to enable dealmakers to take advantage of new opportunities across the Continent?
By participating in "Deal Europe: Opportunities in a Shifting Market" presented by The Deal and Merrill DataSite, you will hear opinions and perspectives from leading European-based transaction experts, in a 60-minute Webinar steered by: Jonathan Braude, Senior Writer, The Deal LLC
This complimentary Webinar will offer insights and workable strategies, including:
