MatthewPrestMovers.pngMoelis & Co. announced that Matthew Prest and Charles Noel-Johnson will join the firm's recapitalization and restructuring group in July, based in London. The two worked together for more than five years at Close Brothers Group plc. Prest (pictured) was a managing director and head of the European restructuring group at Close Brothers. Noel-Johnson will join Moelis as an executive director.

Next month, Jared Dermont will arrive at Moelis' New York office as a managing director. Dermont was with Rothschild Inc., where he sourced and executed in-court and out-of-court restructuring and mergers and acquisitions for companies, creditors and regulators.

Steve Panagos recently arrived at Moelis as a managing director and vice chairman of the recapitalization and restructuring group. Panagos spent 20 years at Zolfo Cooper. And in March, Moelis hired Mark Hootnick as a managing director in the restructuring group, based in New York. Hootnick was with Broadpoint Capital Inc.

Timothy Fischer is joining Deutsche Bank AG as a managing director in global credit trading in the global markets division. Fischer will work from New York and trade high yield bonds and credit derivatives. He will report to Nick Pappas and Ray Costa, co-heads of investment grade, high yield and distressed debt trading for the U.S.

Fischer will join from Barclays plc, which acquired Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.'s North American investment banking, sales and trading divisions in September 2008. At Lehman, Fischer was co-head of high yield trading for North America.

In March, Deutsche Bank tapped Masaya Okoshi and Sean George as managing directors in global credit trading in the global markets division, based in New York. They arrived from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
