In September, Goldman, Sachs & Co.'s co-head of mergers and acquisitions for Asia, excluding Japan, Johan Leven, will leave the bank. Richard Campbell-Breeden becomes sole head. Leven, who was chief operating officer of investment banking for Australia and New Zealand 10 years ago, joined Goldman in 1990. He became a managing director in 2000 and a partner in 2004.
Former Citigroup Inc. executives Antonio Cacorino (pictured) and Fredrick Chapey formed StormHarbour Partners LP, an independent, 50-professional global markets firm which, through subsidiaries, will emphasize capital markets and fixed income activities. Cacorino was a managing director, global co-head of the investor client group. He was a member of the Citigroup global corporate and investment bank management committee. Chapey was a managing director and head of global structured credit derivatives at Citigroup.
The leadership team also includes managing principals Robert Cummings, former managing director and head of Citi's European credit products distribution; and Sohail Khan, former managing director responsible for Citi's legacy asset remediation efforts. Offices will be in New York and London, with plans for expansion into Switzerland and Asia.
Other senior executives include Terry Keeley, former chief operating officer of Novator Partners; Cyril Martinez, former managing director of Citigroup's leveraged finance sales team; Chris O'Connor, former senior managing director of global debt syndication and debt capital markets at Bear Stearns Cos.; John Stomber, former CEO of Carlyle Capital Corp.; and Michael Sussman, former managing director and head of markets legal at Citigroup.
