Citigroup Inc. is reportedly losing two mergers and acquisitions bankers. Reuters, citing a person familiar with the matter, said Mark Todd will join Barclays Capital as a managing director. Also, Valor Econômico, citing a bank statement, said Citigroup's top investment banker for Brazil and Latin America, Ricardo Lacerda, will leave within the next three months to pursue other personal and professional projects. According to the cited statement, Fábio Bicudo, Otávio Guazzelli and Jairo Loureiro will replace Lacerda.
At BarCap, Todd will work with another former Citi M&A banker, Matthew Ponsonby, BarCap's co-head of M&A, Europe. Ponsonby was global co-head of infrastructure investment banking at Citi, where he spent 11 years before joining BarCap in May.
Moelis & Co. hired John Binnie as a managing director in New York to advise financial services industry clients. Binnie was most recently lead capital markets partner at Southgate Alternative Investments. Before that, he was head of diversified financials at Morgan Stanley. Binnie began his career in 1985 at Salomon Brothers and transitioned to Citigroup Inc., ultimately becoming co-head of the banking and diversified financials group.
Pimco Advisory hired Rod Dubitsky (pictured) as an executive vice president and global structured finance specialist.
Dubitsky joins from Credit Suisse Group, where he was a managing director and head of asset backed securities research.
