UBS said Scilla Grimble and Roland Phillips were appointed to head its consumer products retail group, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Phillips will relocate to London for a period of two years, starting Sept. 1. Both report to Guy Phillips, global head of the consumer products and retail group.
Roland Phillips started his career as an analyst at UBS predecessor firm Dillon, Read & Co. in 1997 and has focused on large cap corporates in the consumer products and retail industry, in particular, the food, beverage and household and personal care sectors.
Jefferies & Co. hired Richard Morgner as a managing director in the recapitalization and restructuring group of the investment banking department.
Morgner (pictured) joins from Miller Buckfire & Co. LLC, where he spent more than three years as a managing director and co-head of its mergers and acquisitions division. Before that, he was a managing director and head of M&A at Chanin Capital Partners LLC. Previously, Morgner was a managing director and head of M&A at Prudential Securities Inc., where he spent 10 years.
Barclays Capital appointed Ivan Ferraroni as a managing director, head of foreign exchange bank sales, Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, he will report to Lutfey Siddiqi, head of FX distribution and corporate FX, Asia-Pacific. Ferraroni joins from Royal Bank of Scotland plc, where he was head of FX sales and trading in Tokyo.
