Here is the latest roundup of financial institutions rumored and reported to be hiring:

While banks many be hiring, employment in the sector might not be back up to precrisis levels any time soon, says Fierce Finance.

Private equity firms are hiring, reports FINS.

Nomura Holdings Inc. (NYSE:NMR) will hire 2,000 bankers by March 2011, according to Reuters.

The Securities and Exchange Commission is hiring in an effort to expand its New York office by 8% this year, according to The New York Times.

Tri-Star Trust Bank and Wolverine Bank are hiring in Michigan, according to BusinessLansing.com.
