Movers & shakers: June 22, 2011

Moelis & Co. appointed Liam Beere as a managing director, based in London. Beere will be responsible for deal origination and providing strategic advice to clients globally.

Beere joins after a 19-year career at UBS Investment Bank, most recently as global head of mergers and acquisitions. He joined SG Warburg in 1992. Beere will join Moelis on Sept. 19.


Asset management firm Affiliated Managers Group Inc. tapped Andrew Dyson (pictured) as executive vice president and head of global distribution, a new position. From London, he will report to president and chief operating officer Nathaniel Dalton.

Dyson joins AMG from BlackRock Inc., where he was most recently head of the global institutional client business, following the merger of BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors.
