In its equities research group, Deutsche Bank AG will add John Inch as a managing director covering the multi-industry sector in the U.S. Inch will join in July from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a managing director covering capital goods and industrials in equity research. Before that, he was a senior managing director at Bear, Stearns & Co., responsible for research coverage of the machinery and multi-industrials sectors.
Also, Ross Sandler will join Deutsche in August as a director covering the Internet sector in the U.S. Sandler hails from RBC Capital Markets, where he was a managing director.
Both report to Steve Pollard, managing director and Americas head of research.
Marc Antoine Autheman will succeed Nigel Wicks as chairman of the Euroclear plc and Euroclear SA/NV boards on Jan. 1. Until 2004, Autheman was managing director of the international banking division of Crédit Agricole SA, responsible for the firm's private banking business. He was CEO of Crédit Agricole Indosuez from 1998 to 2003. He is chairman of the board of Third Point Offshore Investors Ltd. and Cube Infrastructure Fund.
Derivatives marketplace CME Group Inc. will tap Izumi Kazuhara as executive director, head of Japan. He was chief representative in Japan at NYSE Liffe and head of Japan strategy at Eurex.
Denver-based middle-market investment bank St. Charles Capital LLC formed an industrial services and technologies group. The team includes managing director Chris Haymons, vice president Tim Troha and senior analyst JJ Lane.
Jonathan Melmed is now head of Morrison & Foerster LLP's private equity practice in New York. He was previously a partner with Chadbourne & Park LLP and head of its Canada practice.
In London, Proskauer Rose LLP hired a team of restructuring and insolvency lawyers led by partners Mark Fennessy and Hazel Miller. They join from Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, where Fennessy headed the European restructuring practice. Recent assignments of Fennessy and Miller include the restructurings of MF Global, Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., Wind Hellas and General Motors Co.
Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP said Cornelius Golden Jr. joined the firm as a partner in its global energy and infrastructure practice. Golden joins the firm's Washington office from Chadbourne & Parke LLP.
In Beijing, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP took on special counsel Jie Huang, a corporate attorney experienced in the Internet, media and telecommunications sectors. Huang was general counsel, mainland China, for the international business unit of Australia's Telstra Corp. She advised on Telstra's mergers and acquisitions, post-merger integrations, corporate reorganizations, trade sales and public offerings in China. She was previously with DLA Piper.
Greenberg Traurig LLP announced that Robert Bernstein joined its New Jersey office as a shareholder in the labor and employment practice. Bernstein was head of Constangy Brooks & Smith LLP's Princeton, N.J., office.
Separately, the firm brought in Howard Steinberg as a shareholder in the business reorganization and financial restructuring practice in Los Angeles. Steinberg joins from Irell & Manella LLP, where he was a partner.
