Mark Williams replaced Nomura Holdings Inc.'s head of investment banking for Asia excluding Japan, Patrick Schmitz-Morkramer. Williams was head of equity capital markets for the region and joined Nomura in 2010 from UBS.


Tim Peach was named head of Man Group plc's Asia operations, based in Singapore. He joined the firm in 1997 and was most recently head of sales for Southeast Asia.


Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank appointed Danielle Baron as head of the project finance natural resources, infrastructure and power Latin America group. She was named a managing director and works from New York. Baron was most recently in London, participating in financings in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Baron joined Crédit Agricole CIB in 2008 and previously worked at HSBC plc.


Matt Thompson joined Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Skyview Capital as a vice president, portfolio operations. He was vice president, finance, at private equity firm Gores Group LLC. Thompson was previously a director in the communications, media and entertainment group of FTI Consulting Inc.'s corporate finance practice.


Multiasset brokerage Newedge named Antoine Babule as CEO of Newedge USA LLC and regional head of Americas. He has been with the firm since 1995, most recently as chief administrative officer. Babule replaces Bill Sexton, who recently left the firm.


Wendy Mayall joined insurance firm LV= as chief investment officer. She reports to Philip Moore, group finance director. Most recently, Mayall was a strategic adviser for Stamford Associates, a fiduciary management and manager research firm she co-founded in 1987. Previously, during a 17-year tenure at Unilever, she ran the biggest fund and set up the first multinational vehicle to pool funds globally, the hedge fund-of-funds and equity multimanager vehicles.


Mayer Brown LLP appointed Andrew Block as a partner in the pensions group in London. Block was previously a partner at Travers Smith.


McCarter & English LLP welcomed patent lawyers Gerald Levy, Keith McWha and Ronald Brown to the firm. Levy and McWha are partners, while Brown is special counsel. They join from Day Pitney LLP.


Herrick, Feinstein LLP announced that Leslie Chervokas, a financial services and restructuring lawyer, joined the firm's New York office as counsel in the corporate department.

Chervokas was special counsel with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and was previously with Schulte, Roth & Zabel LLP.


K&L Gates LLP brought in Ellen Darling and Brendan Ford as partners in the firm's Orange County, Calif., office. Darling, Ford, and three associates join K&L Gates' product liability practice from Snell & Wilmer LLP.

Separately, the firm welcomed Bertrand Dussert and Judith Beckhard-Cardoso as partners in its Paris office. Dussert arrives at K&L Gates from tax boutique Cabinet Dussert Selarl, and was previously a partner at both Norton Rose LLP and French tax firm CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre. Beckhard-Cardoso joins the labor and employment practice from Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, where she led the employment practice, and previously worked at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.


Perkins Coie LLP added Louise Adamson as a partner in the San Francisco office.

She joins from K&L Gates LLP. Adamson focuses her practice on real estate and land development.


Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP said Gabriel Levinson joined the firm as counsel in the litigation practice. He has covered commercial, contractual, real estate, entertainment and insurance litigation and was a senior attorney in the litigation group of Ganfer & Shore LLP.
