John Owen was named sole CEO of international banking at Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc. After 19 years with RBS, Scott Barton will leave at the end of the month to pursue an opportunity outside the firm.

Owen joined RBS in January 2011 from Credit Suisse Group, where he was head of the diversified industries group. He also worked at UBS in the U.K. and Switzerland and at Bank of America Corp. in London.

Barton joined RBS in 1992 from Andersen Consulting and has worked in London, New York, Houston and Dubai.


UBS Global Asset Management appointed Stephen Hutton as head of U.K. wholesale.

Hutton was Northern head of distribution and platform proposition at Zurich Intermediary Group. Prior to that, he led Fidelity International's IFA sales team.


Harold Bradley, chief investment officer of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation since 2007, is retiring from the nonprofit. He oversaw a $1.8 billion multiasset class portfolio. He previously spent 19 years with Kansas City, Mo.-based mutual fund American Century Investments.


Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. named Russ Rudish as its global healthcare sector leader. He is also healthcare sector leader for Deloitte LLP's life sciences and healthcare industry practice. Rudish joined Deloitte in 2006 from Eclipsys Corp., which was acquired by Allscripts for $1.3 billion in 2010.


JPMorgan Chase & Co. will make Eileen Serra CEO of Chase Card Services. She was head of card consumer-branded products and replaces Gordon Smith , who was named co-CEO of Chase Consumer & Community Banking. Serra joined JPM in July 2006 from Merrill Lynch & Co., where she was a managing director and head of private client banking solutions. Prior to that, Serra worked at American Express Co. and was a partner at McKinsey & Co.


Corporate, business and securities attorney Andrew Ross joined Cozen O'Connor as a member in its New York office. He was a partner with Loeb & Loeb LLP and chair man of the national mergers and acquisitions group.


Capital markets partner Kenneth Wright Jr. joined SNR Denton in New York. He was with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.


Paul Fisher, David Cohen, Joey Waldman and Allen Shapiro formed Fisher Cohen Waldman Shapiro LLP, a law firm focused on complex financial matters for small and midsized companies. They are collaborating with private investment banking firm S-K Partners Ltd., which is headed by Shapiro and Paulette Kirschner. Fisher was formerly chairman of McGuireWoods LLP's real estate and environmental department. Cohen has maintained a private practice for more than 25 years. Waldman was in-house counsel at S-K Partners.


Shapiro, Lifschitz & Schram PC expanded its real estate practice, adding Soha Mody in Washington as senior counsel. She was most recently associate general counsel at Freddie Mac in McLean, Va. Mody will focus on commercial real estate transactions, real estate finance and lending, and related litigation on behalf of corporate clients and financial institutions. Earlier, she practiced at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.


Business law firm Cox Smith Matthews Inc. tapped Eduardo Espinosa and Michael Napoli, previously partners in K&L Gates LLP's Dallas office, as shareholders in its corporate and litigation practices.


Kirkland & Ellis LLP elected Jeffrey Hammes to serve a second three-year term as chairman of the firm's global management executive committee. Hammes became chairman in 2010 and his second term will start in February.


Shefsky & Froelich Ltd. said Graham Grady joined the firm as a shareholder in its real estate and land use practice. He joins the firm from K&L Gates LLP, where he was a partner.


Accounting and business consulting firm Moss Adams LLP hired Annette Ahlers as a tax partner.

Ahlers was a partner at Pepper Hamilton LLP, where she founded the corporate tax group in Washington. Previously, she was a tax partner in the corporate group for Ernst & Young and was director of mergers and acquisitions services for the Mid-Atlantic region.
