Colin O'Neil and Bret Lowry have been appointed vice presidents of New York-based investment banking boutique, Financo Inc. O'Neil joins Financo from Raymond James Financial Inc., where he served as vice president covering the retail sector. Prior to that, he was an associate director of mergers and acquisitions for Peter J. Solomon Co.'s retail division, and also spent time in Morgan Stanley's investment bank. Lowry joins Financo from Bank of America Merrill Lynch's global mergers and acquisitions group, where he served as vice president.


Southport, Conn.-based Alternative Investment Group LLC has appointed Sanford Brown as managing director of business development. Brown is the former director of sales and marketing at Larch Lane Advisors LLC, and previously served as the director of alternative investments for Old Mutual Asset Management. Prior to that, Brown lead U.S. hedge fund distribution at Deutsche Bank AG and Global Asset Management.

Michael Rexford has joined Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP's entertainment practice in the law firm's Los Angeles office. Rexford joins from Universal Music Publishing Group, where he served as vice president of business affairs. In his new role, Rexford will counsel music industry clients, including recording artists, producers, independent record companies and music industry executives.

U.K. turnaround and restructuring investor Rutland Partners LLP recently appointed Michael Reynolds as an investment executive. Rutland has experience in the industrials, financial institutions, healthcare and leisure sectors. Reynolds, who qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG Corporate Finance LLC, was previously with Hawkpoint Partners' corporate advisory group, where he worked on debt restructuring, sell- and buy-side deals.

Martin Ryan has been appointed as group head of operations and client services of London's independent clearinghouse group LCH.Clearnet Group Ltd. Ryan, who has more than 15 years of financial industry experience, previously was managing director of Morgan Stanley's global equity derivatives and fixed-income groups. Ryan worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York and Tokyo prior to that.

The Russian practice of international law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, Goltsblat BLP, has added Kyle Davis as a partner in its corporate/mergers and acquisitions group. Davis joins Goltsblat's Moscow office from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, and previously worked in Moscow and New York, including a stint with Allen & Overy LLP. He focuses on the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP recently announced the appointment of Tomer Pinkusiewicz as a partner in the international law firm's New York office. Pinkusiewicz previously worked at White & Case LLP, and plans to continue his capital markets practice at Gibson.
