Elkin, a litigator and adviser, focuses on media, entertainment and intellectual property matters. Bank of America Merrill Lynch said Bryan Weadock will join its global markets group as head of Americas fixed-income sales in July, reporting to Mike Meyer, global head of sales for the global markets platform. Weadock was most recently head of investor client management at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in New York, where he spent 17 years. He was previously head of North American fixed-income sales for four years. Earlier this week, BofA-Merrill, which has experienced an exodus of senior bankers since the financial giants merged in January, said Steven Niemczyk will join its global corporate and investment banking business as global head of asset management investment banking in June. Niemczyk has been global head of asset management investment banking at UBS in London. He will relocate to New York and report to Michael Rubinoff, head of global financial institutions corporate and investment banking. From 2001 to 2006, Niemczyk was a managing director in Morgan Stanley's financial institutions group in New York and London.

announced a surprising, record-breaking first-quarter profit, named six
regional managing directors to lead its East Coast operations,
reporting to Stan Gregor, who was named head of the Eastern markets. The appointments include: John Dowd, Northeast; John Duchala, Delaware and Pennsylvania; Gregory Bronstein, mid-Atlantic; Jeff Hartman, Carolinas; Kim Radford, Southeast; and Bill D'Antignac, Florida. The moves are part of the integration of Wachovia Wealth Management. Water Street Healthcare Partners tapped Hank Struik, a former president with Cardinal Health Inc., as a senior executive adviser. Struik will head a search for investments in the medical products sector. The firm has provided him with a commitment of up to $100 million of equity capital for the initiative. Struik spent 20 years at Cardinal Health. In 2007, he led its $1.5 billion acquisition of Viasys Healthcare Inc. Andrew DeNatale rejoined Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP's financial restructuring practice as a partner and head of the special situations lending group. DeNatale was the former co-head of White & Case LLP's financial restructuring and insolvency group. He worked at Stroock from 1980 through 1991 and was promoted to partner in 1984. Also, Daniel Ginsberg joined Stroock's financial restructuring practice as special counsel. He was also with White & Case. Duane Morris LLP added 16 lawyers in Philadelphia in its employment and immigration practice, as well as two lawyers in New York on the business reorganization and financial restructuring team. All join from dissolving WolfBlock LLP. The employment group is led by partners Jonathan Segal, James Redeker and John Nixon. Redeker and Segal were co-chairs of WolfBlock's employment services practice. Partner Valentine Brown was chair of WolfBlock's immigration services group. Other partners include Caroline Austin, Jennifer Feldman, Michael Cohen, Philip Garber and Linda Hollinshead. Special counsel and associates are Jonathan Wetchler, Andrea Kirshenbaum, Kathryn Larkin, Amanda Layton, Lauren Mazur, Marc Scheiner and Vjera Silbert. The New York restructuring partners are Gerard Catalanello and James Vincequerra. Duane Morris also hired another 24 lawyers from WolfBlock across four practice groups in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill, N.J., including litigation, corporate, real estate and government affairs. The partners are: Trial attorneys Alan Kessler, Hersh Kozlov, Gilbert Brooks, Frank DiGiacomo, Charles Hart, Harvey Johnson, Dana Klinges, Gregory Lomax, Patrick Matusky and Catherine Sakach; corporate lawyer Darrick Mix; and real estate attorney Dante Romanini. The special counsel and associates are Dawnn Briddell, Eric Frank, Rafael Haciski, Hunter Kintzing, Vincent Nolan, Myles Seidenfrau, Ralph Smith, Christopher Soriano, Timothy Stauss, Francesco Suglia, Victoria Varrasse and Peter Visalli. Baker & Hostetler LLP expanded its business group, adding partner Randolf Katz from Bryan Cave LLP. He practices in Baker Hostetler's Costa Mesa, Calif., office. Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC hired partner Thomas Baker and of counsel Gina Greenwood for its healthcare practice in Atlanta. Previously, Baker was a partner at Troutman Sanders LLP and Greenwood was with Alston & Bird LLP. Separately, the firm named 10 shareholders: L. Mabel Arroyo, immigration; Jason Bush, health services and products; Sheri Fox, John Phillips, Steven Press, Kristine Roberts, Frederick Salvo and Clinton Sanko, business litigation; Donald Nettles, construction; and Paul O'Rourke, tax and employee benefits.
