JerkerJohanssonMovers.pngAfter about one year at UBS, Jerker Johansson resigned as CEO of its investment bank. He was also a member of UBS' group executive board. Alex Wilmot-Sitwell and Carsten Kengeter will co-head the investment bank.

Before UBS, Johansson (pictured) was vice chairman of Europe, head of the institutional equity division and co-head of the combined equity and fixed income sales and trading businesses at Morgan Stanley, which he joined as a summer associate in 1985.

Wilmot-Sitwell joined UBS in 1996 and is a member of the group executive board. He has been joint global head of the investment banking department since November 2005 and chairman and CEO of Europe, Middle East & Africa since January.

Kengeter joined UBS in September from Goldman, Sachs & Co. and is joint global head of fixed income, currencies and commodities at UBS Investment Bank. Now he will also be a member of the group executive board.

Moelis & Co. made another hire in its recapitalization and restructuring group, which was formed last July and now has more than 60 employees. Next month, Jared Dermont will arrive at Moelis' New York office as a managing director.

Dermont was with Rothschild, where he sourced and executed in-court and out-of-court restructuring and mergers and acquisitions for companies, creditors and regulators. Before that, he was a vice president in the healthcare M&A group at Banc of America Securities LLC. He began his career at Peter J. Solomon Co.

Steve Panagos arrived at Moelis this month as a managing director and vice chairman of the recapitalization and restructuring group. Panagos spent 20 years at Zolfo Cooper -- formerly Kroll Zolfo Cooper -- serving as the national practice leader of its corporate advisory and restructuring practice.

Deutsche Bank AG tapped Youngbum Kwon to head a regional team for its Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions group. Kwon was a managing director in the M&A group at UBS.
