Greenhill & Co. brought in Christopher Mize and Aaron Hoover as managing directors to establish a Houston office focused on energy companies.
Mize was co-head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch's energy and power practice for the Americas and, before that, was co-head of Merrill's energy and power practice. He has been with Merrill for 22 years in Houston, the last 10 as a managing director. Hoover worked in the energy group at Merrill in Houston for 13 years. He became a managing director in 2005.
New York-based Asset Management Finance LLC named Brian Finn CEO, succeeding Norton Reamer,
who is now vice chairman and founder. Reamer had been CEO of AMF since
its founding in 2003. Finn (pictured) has served as chairman of AMF since August
2008 when Credit Suisse Group purchased a majority interest in
AMF. Finn will no longer be chairman of alternative investments with
Credit Suisse's asset management business but will be a senior adviser.
Before joining Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Inc. in 1997,
where he stayed for five years, Finn was with CS for 15 years, advising
corporate clients, and was a managing director and co-head of mergers
and acquisitions. Before he established AMF, Reamer was founder,
chairman and CEO of United Asset Management Corp. from its inception in
1980 until its sale in September 2000 to Old Mutual plc. Previously, he was CEO and president of Putnam Investments in Boston. He joined Putnam in 1967.
