Shad Quraishi was appointed vice chairman and head of business development and strategy for NewOak Capital's integrated advisory, asset management and capital markets businesses.

Quraishi was joint head of UBS' distressed real estate workout group in 2008 and was responsible for the distribution and structured solutions for more than $80 billion of distressed assets in subprime, ALT-A, collateralized debt obligations and esoteric assets. Prior to that, he was global head of asset-backed finance and warehousing focused on mortgage and non-mortgage assets. He co-ran the U.S., European and Asian asset-backed finance units, managing a 100-plus person team.


TeeFongSengMovers.pngCredit Suisse Group appointed Tee Fong Seng as vice chairman and head of ultra high net worth for private banking, Asia-Pacific, effective Aug. 1. Based in Singapore, he will report to Marcel Kreis, head of private banking, Asia-Pacific.

Seng (pictured) was most recently the head of wealth management for Southeast Asia and deputy branch manager, UBS Singapore.
