MatthewGinsburgMovers.pngGokul Laroia and Kate Richdale will become co-heads of Asia-Pacific investment banking at Morgan Stanley to replace a departing Matthew Ginsburg. Laroia, a 14-year veteran of the firm, was head of global capital markets for Asia, while 10-year vet Richdale was the CEO, Southeast Asia. Richdale took that post in November.

Earlier, Ginsburg (pictured) was head of the financial institutions group in Asia-Pacific for four years. He advised China Construction Bank on its $2.5 billion stake sale to Bank of America Corp. and on its $9.2 billion initial public offering, the $3.3 billion sale of Korea Deposit Insurance Corp. to Standard Chartered plc and on the $1.5 billion merger between International Bank of Taipei and SinoPac Financial Holdings. A Reuters report, citing sources, said Ginsburg will take the top Asia-Pacific investment banking job at Barclays plc, a slot open since March when Darcy Lai left the bank. The report said Ginsburg also looked at Citigroup Inc. and Deutsche Bank AG.
