Private equity firm AnaCap Financial Partners LLP hired Chris Patrick as a principal and co-head of mergers and acquisitions. He was previously a managing director and head of principal finance for European structured products at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Also formerly with Lehman, Andy Wynn was tapped as a director of business services, and Daniel Ang and Nassim Cherchali joined as analysts. Doug Brockway joined Stifel, Nicolaus & Co.'s investment banking group as a managing director in its technology practice. Brockway joins from Innovation Advisors, where he was co-head of the technology-focused investment bank. Earlier, Brockway founded and led SG Cowen's Boston technology corporate finance group, and also had a senior role at Alex. Brown. Investment firm W. P. Carey & Co. LLC's broker-dealer affiliate, Carey Financial LLC, appointed Trisha Miller as a senior vice president, national sales manager, and C. Jay Steigerwald III as senior vice president of national accounts. Miller was head of institutional sales at Rydex Investments, while Steigerwald was vice president of national accounts at CNL Securities Corp. Liquid Realty Partners hired John Graham as an analyst. Graham evaluates real estate secondary investments and was formerly an asset management analyst with SL Green Realty Corp. Before that, he worked at TD Banknorth NA and was a financial adviser in the global private client group for Merrill Lynch & Co. New York-based asset manager Silar Advisors LP appointed Suzanne Currie as a managing director for business development and client communication efforts. Currie joins Silar from Dominick & Dominick LLC, where she was a managing director heading up the alternative strategies group. She covered sourcing, due diligence and capital raising objectives for Pan Asian and private equity managers. Currie was previously chief relationship officer at Shelterwood Financial Services LLC. In New York, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP named Irene Walsh a managing director and U.S. leader of its infrastructure and project finance advisory practice. Deloitte also hired James Ziglar Jr. as a senior vice president. Both join from UBS. Walsh has worked at Moody's Investors Service, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and KPMG LLP. Ziglar had stints at Bain & Co. and Goldman, Sachs & Co. McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP announced that Stephen Goldsmith, former two-term mayor of Indianapolis, joined its global infrastructure finance and public-private partnerships practice as a senior strategic adviser and an independent consultant. He will cover the transportation, energy, healthcare and technology industries. April Boise was named partner-in-charge of Thompson Hine LLP's Cleveland office, effective Feb. 1. She replaces environmental lawyer Michael Hardy, who will continue his practice with the firm. Boise is a partner in the corporate transactions and securities practice, where she focuses on mergers and acquisitions and chairs the private equity subgroup. Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP said three former Thelen LLP attorneys joined its San Francisco office. The construction practice brought on special counsel Gregg Dulik, and the commercial practice welcomed partner Karen Ng and associate Matthew Goedert. Andrews Kurth LLP elected seven partners for January: Marcus Deitz, public finance; Tonya Gray, complex civil and commercial litigation; Jonathan Levine, bankruptcy; Kenneth Rothenberg, distressed assets and corporate and securities; Lisa Shelton, environmental, health and safety; Lori Smith, commercial real estate transactions; and M. Katherine Strahan, commercial litigation. Sheila Sonenshine joined Jams' Orange County, Calif., office. From 1982 to 1999, Sonenshine was an associate justice of the California Court of Appeal. She then co-founded EquiCo -- now McGladrey Capital Markets LLC -- an investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, capital raising and fairness opinions for privately held middle-market companies. Since 2004, she was a principal at Sonenshine Enterprises. Kilpatrick Stockton LLP hired partner G. William Joyner III for its Winston-Salem, N.C., office in the corporate department.
