Lamb's replacement must be a Republican, subject to state Senate confirmation. UBS hired Keith Magnus to head investment banking in Singapore and Malaysia. Magnus joined from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he had the same job. Michael McMahon joined Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin Inc. as a managing director and head of the financial institutions group. Previously, McMahon was a managing director and co-head of diversified financials at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on specialty finance and alternative asset management companies. Based in the New York, he will report to Bob Hotz and Scott Adelson, global co-heads of investment banking. While at Morgan Stanley, McMahon was one of the senior team leaders who advised the U.S. Treasury on the conservatorships of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
