Comisar is one of several recent high-profile hires made by Alan Schwartz (pictured), executive chairman of Guggenheim. Schwartz, a 32-year veteran and former CEO of Bear Stearns Cos., joined Guggenheim in June. Just after Schwartz's arrival, Kenneth Savio, former co-head of trading and sales at Bear Stearns, joined to build an equity trading desk at Guggenheim. Former Bear bankers Frank McCutchan and Scott Schondau came aboard as the firm launched a financial institutions group. Other Bear alumni, according to The Wall Street Journal, include Andrew Decker, Eric Rutkowski and Hans Toro. Check The Deal Pipeline for updates on these Movers & shakers: -- J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. formed a prime-custody solutions group, headed by Devon George-Eghdami. -- Advent International Corp. made its seventh hire in three weeks. Michael McShane joined as an operating partner to advise on investment opportunities in the oil and gas services and equipment sector. Look for these and more on Who's in, who's out!
