Posted on September 25, 2009 12:00 AM

Kenneth Shea was named president of Coastal Capital Management LLC, an affiliate of Coastal Development LLC, a New York developer of resort destinations, luxury hotels and gaming facilities. Shea joins Coastal from hedge fund Icahn Capital LP, where he was the managing director responsible for all principal investments in the gaming and leisure industries.

Shea worked on the acquisition of Tropicana Entertainment Holdings LLC, the gaming company that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May 2008. Before Icahn, Shea was a senior managing director at Bear, Stearns & Co., where he was global head of the gaming, leisure and restaurant investment banking departments.

Broker-dealer Lighthouse Financial Group launched a global portfolio trading platform with a four-person team that worked together at Bear, Stearns & Co. and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. The team will handle equity and fixed-income transactions for institutions. It is led by New York-based partner Christopher Foxall, head of global portfolio trading. David Sauer and Art Ayzerov will join as managing directors and global portfolio traders. Sauer has Latin American experience. Louis Mancini will arrive as a managing director and head of portfolio technology.

Foxall was managing director of global portfolio sales for the Americas at J.P. Morgan. He also held that role at Bear Stearns.

Rob Weinstein, Lighthouse financial partner and head of institutional sales and trading, previously worked with Foxall at Bear. Earlier this year, Lighthouse launched a derivatives platform and a prime services group.
