UBS Securities Canada vice chairman Jim Kofman will leave at the end of October. Kofman has been with UBS for 13 years. He worked on the $17 billion Reuters Group plc-Thomson Corp. merger. Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc announced that Philip Scott and Penny Hughes will become nonexecutive directors on Nov. 1 and Jan. 1, respectively. Scott will be chairman of a new risk committee and Hughes will be a member of the remuneration committee and eventually become chairman of the committee. Scott is group finance director at Aviva plc. Hughes spent the majority of her executive career at Coca-Cola Co. Since October 2008, 13 board members have left and eight appointments have been made.
