General Electric Co. formed GE Healthymagination Fund, an equity fund that will make investments in healthcare technology companies. The $250 million fund will target broad-based diagnostics, healthcare information technology and life sciences. The fund will be run by an investment committee made up of senior executives from GE Healthcare, GE Capital and GE Global Research. It expects to announce more details about the committee soon. Sherwood Dodge, CEO of GE Capital, Equity, and Michael Jones, executive vice president for business development at GE Healthcare, are primary contacts for the fund until further announcements are made. Cambridge Associates LLC named Chi-Ho Song head of the Singapore office. Song succeeds Peter Roney, who has relocated to Arlington, Va., to become co-director of research. Also, Damien Tan and Mark Oshida recently joined the Singapore office as consultants. Tan joined from the Ministry of Information in Singapore, where he was director of industry development and policy. Oshida joined the Boston office in 2007 and transferred in September to Singapore, where he is a senior investment consultant advising foundations and endowments in Hong Kong and Singapore.
