Jefferies & Co. promoted Benjamin Lorello to global head of investment banking and capital markets. He joined the firm in July as chairman of investment banking. Lorello was with UBS for more than 10 years, as vice chairman and global head of healthcare investment banking. He also worked at Salomon Smith Barney for 15 years, where he was managing director and global head of healthcare investment banking. Earlier, he spent seven years at Shearson Lehman Brothers in investment banking.
New Crowell & Moring partners will be Call, Thomas Koegel, M. Kay Martin, Beatrice Nguyen, Karen Petrulakis, Ethan Schulman, J. Daniel Sharp and Douglas Sullivan. Senior counsel will be Michael Kahn, Michael Kelleher and Janine Scancarelli. Margaret Dollbaum will be counsel.
