Ruane (pictured), who joined BNY Mellon in 1993, was most recently executive vice president and head of global client management North America. He was previously head of financial institutions, overseeing the firm's relationships with banks, broker-dealers and hedge funds. Separately, BNY Mellon Asset Management acquired a 20% stake in private equity firm Siguler Guff & Co. LLC. Siguler Guff was founded in 1991 within Paine Webber and became an independent firm in 1995. George Siguler, one of the founding partners, was also a founding employee of Harvard Management Co. Also Monday, BNY Mellon completed the acquisition of Insight Investment Management Ltd. from Lloyds Banking Group plc for $386 million. Abdallah Nauphal is CEO and chief investment officer of Insight Investment. Nauphal joined Insight as head of fixed income in April 2003 after Insight acquired Rothschild Asset Management Ltd.
