As a senior editor and senior video producer at The Deal LLC, Mary Kathleen Flynn interviews newsmakers as part of the company’s award-winning web video program. She also writes and edits news stories and features in addition to hosting webcasts on a wide range of transactions and trends, including venture capital and private equity investments, M&A and IPOs.
Prior to joining The Deal, Mary Kathleen was an on-air correspondent for CNN and CNN Financial Network, where she co-hosted Digital Jam. She also served as a technology correspondent for various CNN shows, and hosted Tools, an online CNN series on using the Internet. She was the first national broadcast reporter to cover the Internet as a beat when MSNBC launched in 1996; before MSNBC she was a senior editor at U.S. News & World Report, where she covered technology and penned the On Technology column. Her other posts included associate editor at PC Magazine, new-products editor at Datamation magazine and editorial assistant at the Random House imprint Ballantine Books.
Mary Kathleen Flynn will be at the Canadian Institutional Investments Summit in Ottawa, Canada October 17-19, and she will also be at the Yale School of Management Private Equity Conference in Stamford, Connecticut on November 11.
