Jerry_Yang_thumb.jpgYahoo! Inc. [YHOO] CEO Jerry Yang is helping to douse the hopes of those still holding out for an acquisition of the company by Microsoft Corp. [MSFT]. Speaking at The Wall Street Journal's D: All Things Digital Conference Wednesday, Yang said his company remained open to an acquisition, but that Microsoft was "no longer interested in buying the company," though they were still talking about other alternatives.

Yang also defended his handling of the merger talks with Microsoft, reiterating previous comments that Microsoft was the one who walked away from negotiations. -- David Shabelman
