The effects of credit default swaps on companies filing for bankruptcy or going through restructuring are starting to come out into the open. But since there has been no regulation for CDSs in the past, the complete effects are unknown. Ed Weisfelner of Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP and Jeff Fitts of Alvarez & Marsal discussed the effects of credit default swaps at the TMA/The Deal's Distressed Investing Conference. - Maria Woehr
