Cooley Godward's Hershcopf on Zales' future

Private equity firm Apollo Management has submitted a proposal to purchase a stake in Zale Corp. Peter J. Solomon Company is advising the company on financial alternatives, according to reports. Cathy Hershcopf of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP told The Deal in January that Zale Corp. was one of several retailers that could die this year due to a lack of consumer confidence.
