Behind the Money: ATV's Bill Wiberg on cleantech investing in 2009

Published January 27, 2009 at 11:32 AM

Green chemicals, clean water and carbon capture top the list of technologies Bill Wiberg is looking to invest in this year, he says in this episode of The Deal's Behind the Money video show. A former Lucent Technologies executive, Wiberg leads cleantech investing at Advanced Technology Ventures, a bicoastal venture capital firm that backs early-stage companies in IT, healthcare and alternative energy.

The political will of President Obama's administration as well as the public sentiment in favor of energy independence may counter the tight economy when it comes to cleantech investing in 2009, predicts Wiberg. Watch the video below or download it on iTunes. - Mary Kathleen Flynn
