European bankruptcies to cause 'substantial spillover effect' in U.S.

Published March 19, 2012 at 4:00 AM

Robert Rosenberg, a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP, explains his outlook for bankruptcy trends. Rosenberg, who ranks as the top bankruptcy lawyer by volume on The Deal Pipeline's bankruptcy league tables, predicts that restaurant chains and other consumer-related companies will be in trouble in the near-term. He is also anticipating that we will see  "a lot of cases related to foreign companies." Rosenberg explains why the U.S. could see a "substantial spillover effect" from European bankruptcies. - Katie Roof
