The Deal breaks down merger milestones for the week of May 26th.

This week, the U.S. celebrates Memorial Day on Monday, May 26th, but in Germany, that is also the deadline for government approval of Teva Pharmaceutials purchase of Bentley Pharmaceuticals

On Tuesday, May 27th, Borders Group reports earnings. Borders is reportedly a target of Barnes & Noble.

And on Thursday, May 29th, the spotlight will be on Bear Stearns special meeting, where shareholders will vote on the proposed merger with JP Morgan.

Deal reporter Lisa Lee chats with Mary Kathleen Flynn this week about integration issues with Bear Stearns and JP Morgan.
