M&A Outlook 2009: Bulldog Investors Phillip Goldstein on corporate boards

At The Deal's M&A Outlook 2009 conference, Phillip Goldstein, a principal at hedge fund Bulldog Investors, had some harsh words for corporate boards of directors that allowed their companies to take on unsafe levels of risk. "Why is the board of AIG still there," he said. "They're virtually destroying the company...These boards have laws that protect they no matter how negligent they are." - George White
