M&A Outlook 2009: Grant Thornton's Schwartz on Obama's stimulus package

Published January 14, 2009 at 11:35 AM

Mel Schwartz, senior partner at Grant Thornton LLP, was a panelist at The Deal's M&A Outlook 2009 conference. In this clip, he speaks about President-elect Barack Obama's proposed stimulus package and its impact upon the tax system. "The open question is whether the other well-discussed piece from the campaign, which is the increase in both the dividend and the capital gains right, as well as the rate on the highest rate applicable to ordinary income individuals, will go up at the same time," he said.
