Ensuring that title to the land has been secured has become a top concern for corporate dealmakers doing shale deals, says Hugh Tucker, a partner at Baker Botts LLP, in this video interview with The Deal Pipeline's David Marcus. "It used to not be a big concern when you were paying $100 to $150 an acre for the land," says Tucker, "but when you're paying $10,000, $15,000 to $20,000 an acre, you want to be sure you can get it, and you can't suffer a huge loss of that acreage." - George White
