Goldman SEC charges to spark cases against others

The SEC's charge against Goldman, Sachs and Co. for failing to disclose that hedge fund Paulson & Co. helped structure a synthetic CDO that was marketed to investors is "going to give lots of people ideas about not only Goldman's structure but also about other primary dealers who were structuring similar deals at the same time," says Francine McKenna, an accounting consultant who writes the blog re: The Auditors, in this video interview with The Deal.
