Securitization financing tools have historically accounted for the bulk of consumer and business lending. Undercut largely by subprime and other risky mortgages, however, the market has been near dead the past two years. That is beginning to change, says Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP's Stephen Kudenholdt, though the loans we are seeing are very different than those that dominated precrisis.
