What if Zale filed for bankruptcy?

Published March 23, 2010 at 4:58 PM

(NYSE:ZLC) is apparently considering a capital injection from private equity firm Sun Capital Partners Inc., The Wall Street Journal reported, affirming Consensus Advisory Services CEO Michael O'Hara's belief that a private equity fund will likely rescue the jeweler from having to file for bankruptcy. Of course if Zale's does have to file for bankruptcy, it's likely that the company will not liquidate like Whitehall Jewelers or file with a prepack, he says.
