Updata Advisors' Ira Cohen on tech M&A

Published June 1, 2010 at 10:16 AM
Strategic acquisitions are fueling tech M&A in 2010, which is up more than 90% from a year earlier, says Ira Cohen of Updata Advisors, an investment bank that specializes in information technology M&A and tracks deals in the sector. CA Inc.'s March acquisition of Nimsoft Inc. for $350 million in cash--10 to 11 times revenue by Cohen's calculation--is a "good example of the kind of value that is very strategic," he says. The interview with Cohen is part of our special series on Faces of the Middle Market. Read the full story in The Deal magazine, watch the videos, listen to the podcasts and read the white paper.
