Tech M&A to flourish in second half of 2010

Published August 24, 2010 at 9:12 AM

Dealmakers predict the second half of the year will see a resurgence in tech M&A, fueled by pent-up demand on the buy side, combined with long-held assets on the sell side plus the desire to avoid increased taxes on deals expected in the future. In the fourth quarter, dealmaking activity may even reach a level difficult for the banks, law firms and other advisory firms to handle. Watch The Deal's video montage with Antenna Software's Jim Hemmer, Silicon Valley Bank's Megan Scheffel, Jordan, Edmiston Group Inc.'s Scott Peters and PricewaterhouseCoopers' Greg Peterson. For more on tech M&A, see "Buying opportunity" in a recent issue of The Deal magazine. Watch the video below or download it on  iTunes. -- Mary Kathleen Flynn
