Published October 7, 2009 at 9:16 AM
New York technology companies are hiring this fall, says Mike Fitzgerald of recruiting firms the Winter, Wyman Cos. The Deal spoke with Fitzgerald about hiring trends and how venture capital can open up the talent pool for startups.

For hot New York startup Boxee, for example, its recent $6 million Series B enabled the firm to bring aboard Zach Klein, a member of the founding team that built College Humor, Busted Tees and Vimeo (at Connected Ventures/IAC). We spoke with Fitzgerald at Shake Shack II, a party for the city's tech community that was hosted by nextNY and sponsored by Winter, Wyman.
