Jeff Pulver's recent 140 Characters Conference on "exploring the disruptive nature of Twitter, 140 characters at a time" in New York drew an impressive roster of presenters, some of whom flew in from the San Francisco Bay Area to attend, including Twitter Inc. co-founder Jack Dorsey. Other speakers at the event known as #140conf in Twitter-ese were: Twitter investors Fred Wilson (Union Square Ventures) and John Borthwick (Betaworks); broadcast news reporters Ann Curry (NBC) and Rick Sanchez (CNN); and entrepreneurs Tim O'Reilly (O'Reilly Media) and Brook Lundy (Someecards).
In this episode of The Deal's Behind the Money online video show, Pulver talks about why he believes Twitter has forever changed the way people interact with the Web, making it possible for everyone to live online in what he calls the "state of now." Pulver is an investor in Twitter and 100-plus others since 1997.
