Asia has 'big appetite' for deals like KKR-Samson

Published February 27, 2012 at 4:00 AM

"In terms of energy, infrastructure, there's a big appetite for a deal of this size" in Asia, asserts Charles Conroy, a partner at law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Conroy is referring to the $7.2 billion sale of Samson Investment Co. to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. LP and global Japanese trading company Itochu Corp. Milbank Tweed advised Itochu in the deal, the biggest buyout to date in the oil and gas production space. - Sarah Hashim-Waris
