FTI Consulting's Bob Filek predicts M&A themes for 2012

The amount of dealmaking activity thus far in 2012 is not an indicator of what to expect during the rest of the year, asserts Bob Filek, senior managing director of FTI Consulting Inc. Filek tells The Deal Pipeline that he expects to see a pickup, as well as some interesting themes in M&A this year, including big moves in private equity, a favorable lending environment acting as a catalyst for dealmaking and cost-effective changes in the healthcare sector. - Sarah Hashim-Waris
