Skadden's McCarthy on staple financing in Del Monte

Published January 27, 2012 at 4:00 AM

Brian McCarthy, a partner law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, discusses the effects of the Del Monte Foods Co. decision with The Deal senior writer David Marcus at Northwestern Law's 39th Annual Securities Regulation Institute. McCarthy, who works on corporate, securities and M&A transactions, says the decision is a case of "bankers behaving badly" and as a result, "a number of the investment banks have gone out of the staple finance business." - Sarah Hashim-Waris
