Debt ceiling deal's impact on U.S.-China relations

Published August 30, 2011 at 4:00 AM

"I think the Chinese are willing to work with us despite some of their cheap shots in the aftermath of the Standard & Poor's decision" to downgrade the U.S. economy, says James Bacchus, chair of Greenberg Traurig LLP's global practice group. In this video interview with The Deal Pipeline, Bacchus, a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Appellate Body of the World Trade Organization, discusses whether the U.S.'s recent debt ceiling deal will impact U.S. trade with China and the Asian superpower's own economic problems. - Sarah Hashim-Waris
