The Deal Pipeline senior writer David Marcus talks to Donna Petkanics, a partner in the Palo Alto, Calif., office of law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC, about whether engineers and entrepreneurs have accepted the idea of selling a company while private versus an initial public offering exit for it. "I think the engineers, the founders of these companies are realistic regarding that," Petkanics explains.
