Dodgers 'unafraid of using bankruptcy'

"The owners of the Dodgers were clearly unafraid of using bankruptcy as a mechanism to reassert control over the company," says Dan McElhinney of Epiq Systems, who is currently working as a claims agent to the Major League Baseball team. "The Dodgers learned that you could gain more control in bankruptcy, and that's probably one of the main reasons why they used it."
