  • Aug. 12 - The Bronco Drilling Co.-Allis-Chalmers Energy Inc. pricing period ends
  • Aug. 14 - The Australian Competition Consumer Commission will make a decision on the proposed BHP Billiton Ltd.'s $140 billion-plus indicative offer for Rio Tinto Group 
  • Aug. 14 - The HSR expires for the proposed $335 million cash deal merger between Convergys  Corp. and Intervoice Inc.
  • Aug. 14 - The HSR expires for Fresenius SE's $5.6 billion acquisition offer for APP Pharmaceuticals Inc. 
  • Aug. 14 - The EU will make a decision on the $590 million purchase of Saxon Energy Services Inc., an oil production equipment company, by Schlumberger Ltd., an oil services company from the Netherlands Antilles, and First Reserve Corp., a U.S. private equity firm
