Here are some key events and dates:



  • On July 22 Bentley Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s shareholders will be voting on the $360 million acquisition by Israeli generic drugs maker Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Teva also purchased its U.S. rival Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc. for $8.9 billion on Friday, July 18.

  • Republic Services Inc. rejected Waste Management Inc.'s $6.2 billion acquisition offer. Republic and Allied Waste management Inc., the No. 2 and No. 3 U.S. garbage companies, agreed to an all-stock merger June 23 to directly compete with Waste Management.
