Nasdaq explains acquisition strategy

Published May 16, 2012 at 2:43 PM

Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. has agreed to acquire BWise, a Netherlands-based software company. BWise technology assists companies in managing risk and compliance. In this video, Bruce Aust, Nasdaq's EVP of the global corporate client group, explains its acquisition strategy, which has recently included several companies in the corporate solutions business. Indicating that this acquisition strategy will continue, Aust says that Nasdaq would like its "corporate solutions business to equal that of the listings revenue." In addition to providing another source of revenue, he explains how these acquisitions could help Nasdaq compete for listings. "We have one-stop solutions to really help you be a public company, and there's no other exchange that offers this range of services."  - Katie Roof
